Joël Goudsmit van Sapje had een boek geschreven over gezond leven, en vroeg mij of ik er illustraties voor wilde maken. Ik las zijn manuscript en vond het helemaal top! Joël is authentiek: hij heeft persoonlijk een giga transformatie doorgemaakt, dus hij is 100% “Practice what you preach!”
Alleen de cover is in full colour, de illustraties in het binnenwerk zijn zwartwit. Werkt hartstikke goed. En toch kriebelde het bij mij, nog lang nadat het boek zijn release had gehad. De onderwerpen spraken me aan, en ik besloot een aantal een remake te geven in full colour. De meningen zijn verdeeld – welke versie vind jij het mooist?
Het boek loopt trouwens als een trein, en breekt verkooprecords – ik had niet anders verwacht. Chapeau Joël!

Only the cover is done in full colour, the illustrations accompanying the text are in black. Works really well. And still I had this itch, long after the book had its release. I liked some of the works so well, that I decided to give them a remake in full colour. A totally different appearance – what version do yóu like best?
The book sales break records by the way, but I didn’t expect anything else. Well done Joël!
